ImageWindPower 2007 held in Los Angeles, California, has been an exceptional event.  With attendance nearing 7000, this is the largest event focused exclusively on wind energy. Besides the various presentation tracks, the exihibition provided an opportunity to learn about innovative products and services associated with wind energy.  For many, the occasion was used to meet face-to-face with project team members and to discuss on-going and planned work.

July 29, 2005 - US Congress reached an agreement on the Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (TEA-LU). This bill will provide $286.5 billion over six years to maintain the US transportation infrastructure. While this is commendable, it falls short of ASCE's recommendation of $375 billion over the same period. ASCE's 2005 Report Card for America's Infrastructure, released on March 9, concluded that the condition of US bridges has remained the same at a grade of C, while roads and mass transit systems continued to decline (from a D+ to D for roads and C- to D+ for transit).
