A variety of interpolations and applications of the elements and operations considered are included. In particular, the use of matrices in the study of transformations of the plane is stressed. July 29, 2005 - US Congress reached an agreement on the Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (TEA-LU). This bill will provide $286.5 billion over six years to maintain the US transportation infrastructure. While this is commendable, it falls short of ASCE's recommendation of $375 billion over the same period. ASCE's 2005 Report Card for America's Infrastructure, released on March 9, concluded that the condition of US bridges has remained the same at a grade of C, while roads and mass transit systems continued to decline (from a D+ to D for roads and C- to D+ for transit).
